Tulane Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

The Lepage Center Gala celebrates illustrious honorees in entrepreneurship and the importance of innovation for the New Orleans community. One of Tulane University’s premier events, the Gala is attended by affiliates of the Freeman School of Business, including current students, guests of the honorees, alumni, the Tulane Board of Administrators and Business School Council members, donors, competition judges, faculty, and staff.

The Tulane Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year award is bestowed upon those who have exemplified true entrepreneurial spirit and philanthropic generosity in our region and beyond.

The Tulane Outstanding Social Entrepreneur of the Year award honors individuals who have attained notable success in developing, promoting, and sustaining initiatives that benefit and strengthen the social foundation of our community.

The following criteria are used to determine the Tulane Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, in consideration of the lifetime achievements of the recipient at the time the award is granted:

  1. Exemplary professional achievement in entrepreneurship and innovation / social entrepreneurship and social innovation.
  2. Support of the New Orleans entrepreneurial ecosystem and the businesses that drive social and economic value for the gulf south region.
  3. Outstanding contributions as alumni or friend of the greater Tulane community.
