Garth Roark

Managing Director, Tax Transformation and Technology, KPMG LLP

Garth Roark is a Managing Director in KPMG's national tax technology and innovations practice ("Ignition"). Garth consults with a broad range of companies on the development of technology-enabled strategies and solutions, focused on driving operational improvement within the tax function. He works with businesses to design and implement leading tax practices related to intelligent automation, data & analytics and process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce risks and enable better operational alignment.

Garth formerly was a member of KPMG's state and local tax group and served as the national leader of KPMG's reverse sales and use audit services group. He has over 16 years of experience consulting with businesses across a variety of industries on indirect tax, multistate, technology and data related tax issues.

Garth has been a speaker at several industry and academic focused conferences on tax process and technology issues and has been guest university lecturer related to tax data & analytics and the application of intelligent to tax. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Kansas and M.P.Acc. from the University of Washington.
