Biography
Diego Bufquin teaches hospitality, strategy and management courses and also serves as faculty director of the undergraduate Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship Certificate. His academic articles have appeared in premier hospitality journals including Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, International Journal of Hospitality Management and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research. Bufquin joined the Freeman School in 2024 from the University of Central Florida, where he served as an associate professor of hospitality management and director of international development. Before entering academia, Bufquin worked in hotels and restaurants in France, Spain and Brazil for companies such as Marriott International and Accor. He holds an AS in international hospitality management from EHL Hospitality Business School, a BA in hospitality and finance from the Glion Institute of Higher Education, a MS in international business from Skema Business School and a PhD in hospitality management from the University of South Carolina.
