Entrepreneurship research has made considerable strides in understanding the factors that drive entrepreneurial success, with extensive theoretical and empirical work on decision-making, emotions, motivation, resource mobilization, mentorship, financing, and institutional influences. However, effectively translating these insights into practical interventions remains a challenge, as their impact varies widely depending on design and context. Emerging studies show that well-designed interventions—such as personal initiative training, growth tools, and structured accelerators—can significantly enhance entrepreneurial outcomes. Moreover, such programs can contribute to broader societal goals like poverty reduction and inclusive development. Yet, unintended consequences—like reduced educational investment without increased business ownership—highlight the complexity of intervention impacts and the need for careful, context-sensitive approaches. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, this conference aims to explore when, how, and why entrepreneurial interventions succeed or fail, emphasizing the importance of intervention research in generating scalable solutions and real-world impact.
