To better prepare undergraduate students with industry-specific knowledge and skills, the Freeman School of Business offers certificate programs that provide specialized instruction in high-demand fields such as Business Analytics and AI, Energy, Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Finance and Investment, and Sports Management.
To earn a Business Analytics and AI, Energy, Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Finance and Investment, or Sports Management certificate, students must complete a sequence of courses specifically designed to leverage the explicit industry knowledge. Our faculty provide students with rich, industry-related context and ample experiential learning opportunities, including short term study abroad programs. This encourages students to integrate their previously gained skillsets to devise solutions to multi-disciplinary, real-world business problems within their chosen industry. Signature experiential learning courses provide hands-on experience to make students ready for their careers, and study abroad programs provide hands-on learning opportunities while exposing students to new cultures and business practices within their specific area of study. Certificates will be awarded to undergraduate students within the Freeman School of Business who successfully complete twelve (12) credit hours in the program selected from below.

Freeman’s new Business Analytics and AI certificate offers undergraduate students the opportunity to build in-demand AI and data analytics skills with industry-standard tools. This certificate program prepares students for high-growth careers in business intelligence, analytics and strategy in order to succeed in today’s data-driven business landscape.
Gain hands-on experience with tools like Python, Tableau, Power BI, and AI to tackle real-world challenges in marketing, finance, healthcare, sports, and energy. A certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete twelve (12) credit hours from the following 3-credit courses:

The certificate is designed to leverage explicit knowledge gained from the core BSM curriculum, including such areas as finance, analytics, economics, risk management, strategy, and operations. With a strong emphasis on skill development, experiential learning, and industry exposure, students will gain both a solid foundation within the fundamental principles of Energy as well as a path towards a future career in the industry.
The Certificate in Energy requires four courses totaling 12 credit hours and is available to BSM students in the A.B. Freeman School of Business. The certificate must be earned concurrently with the BSM degree. No more than one course of the Certificate in Energy may count toward a student's BSM degree and major.

With a focus on fostering professional business competencies, the Freeman BEYOND program encourages students to actively engage in a wide range of activities that encourages students to build a well-rounded portfolio show casing their holistic development to prepare them for success beyond college.
Made possible by the Greenbaum Family Program in Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship, this certificate program trains a new generation of professionals through the analysis of real-world hospitality case studies and engaging interactions with seasoned professionals. Students will gain a unique blend of management and industry focused teachings - in areas such hotels and restaurants, festivals and entertainment, meetings and events, travel and tourism, and hospitality consulting and entrepreneurship - while learning how to design, build, and lead successful hospitality enterprises centered on extraordinary guest experiences.
The Certificate in Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship will be awarded to all NTC undergraduate students who successfully complete four courses, totaling twelve (12) credit hours, from the list of eligible courses below. Separate lists are provided to outline the pathways through which Business (BSM) and non-Business Students may fulfill the requirements for the Certificate.
