Career Management Center

Where preparation meets opportunity

The Career Management Center in the Freeman School of Business is dedicated to preparing students to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Our mission is rooted in a dynamic “Prepare + Connect” philosophy that ensures our students are equipped with the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed.

Prepare

The Freeman School is committed to preparing students to excel by aligning their skills with what employers seek in early talent. From tailored professional development and skill-building exercises to real-world experiential learning, programs are designed to make students stand out. Freeman’s Career Education curriculum integrates career strategy and professional communication skills with hands-on experiences, preparing students to hit the ground running.

Connect

Freeman’s approach goes beyond preparation; it’s about connection. Students are linked to a network of Freeman alumni and corporate partners who are passionate about their success. Industry connections ensure that students have access to opportunities that match their career aspirations, build their professional networks, and align with employer workforce needs.

A comprehensive career education curriculum is woven into the Freeman Experience, starting early and extending through graduation. The Connected Learning Series is a cornerstone of Freeman undergraduate career curriculum. This series integrates career readiness, professional communication, and strategy consulting into a progressive learning experience, including experiential learning and boardroom presentation skills. Corporate partners actively participate, providing feedback and real-world insights to enhance student learning.

The Industry Experts-in-Residence (EIR) program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice. Seasoned professionals offer personalized mentorship, career insights, and industry-specific strategies, helping students navigate the complexities of the job market in their industries of interest.

With a dedicated team of career strategy consultants, students receive personalized coaching tailored to their individual needs. With a solid foundation of business and recruiting experience, consultants help students craft and execute effective internship and job search strategies, build professional networks, and conduct practice interviews.

Our commitment to professional development includes creating industry-based learning communities, facilitating engagement with Freeman alumni and corporate partners, and organizing treks to major business hubs like New York City, Houston, and Atlanta. Technical and professional skills training sessions are offered throughout the year to certify career-readiness skills and meet employer expectations.

The Career Management Center offers 24/7/365 access to a suite of premium career resources designed to support job and internship searches, resume development, practice interviews, and skills enhancement. Tools like Handshake, RocketBlocks, MBA-Exchange, Interstride, LinkedIn Learning, and Wall Street Prep are available to help students build technical and professional skills to achieve their career goals.
