The Tulane Global MBA is a special graduate program focused on global business strategy. It offers current students and recent graduates of MBA programs access to a unique global strategy curriculum, an international network, and the option to receive a second degree: the Tulane Master of Global Management degree. It is available to MBA, Professional MBA, and Executive MBA students of Tulane and our affiliated business schools around the globe.
GMBA courses and locations (three-credit hours each):
- 1) GMBA 7120 - International Leadership, Ethics, and Team Building - Mexico City
- 2) GMBA 7220* - Strategy for Emerging Markets - New Orleans
- 3) GMBA 7310 - Global Strategy and Competition - Paris
- 4) GMBA 7420 - Global Negotiation - Shanghai
- 5) GMBA 7510 - International Finance - Bogota
- 6) GMBA 7610 - Global Supply Chain - New Orleans
*GMBA 7220 is a pre-requisite for GMBA 7310
The cost for the six Global MBA courses is $28,000. Each course is billed separately at the time of registration ($4,666 per course). Program cost covers graduate instructions, course materials, plus housing and two meals a day when traveling. Students are responsible for travel expenses to class locations and meals not included in program.
To participate in the Global MBA program, there are three options:
Option One — Electives
PMBA students can take one or more of the above six GMBA classes on a space available basis and count them as electives in the PMBA program. GMB A 7120 International Leadership, Ethics and Team Building will satisfy the PMBA requirement for Leadership and Ethics in the PMBA curriculum. Please note that GMBA 7200 is a pre-requisite for GMBA 7310.
Option Two — Concentration — International Management
PMBA students can take four of the six GMBA classes and count them towards a concentration in International Management. GMBA 7120 International Leadership, Ethics and Team Building will satisfy the PMBA requirement for Leadership and Ethics in the PMBA curriculum. Please note that GMBA 7200 is a pre-requisite for GMBA 7310.
Option Three — Degree — Master of Global Management (MGM)
PMBA students will take all six GMBA courses and complete a global consulting project. GMBA 7120 International Leadership, Ethics and Team Building will satisfy the PMBA requirement for Leadership and Ethics in the PMBA curriculum. To complete the dual MBA/Master of Global Management degrees, students must complete a minimum 69 credits (51 credits towards the requirements in the PMBA curriculum and 18 credits in the MGM program). The Global Consulting Project is a zero credit Pass/Fail course which is a requirement for the MGM degree.
