Yang Pan teaches advanced data management in the Master of Business Analytics program. She received her PhD in 2017 from the University of Maryland at College Park. Her research focuses on incumbent firms' behaviors in the IT industry responding to new entry threat. Her work has appeared in Information Systems Research and Management Information Systems Quarterly. Yang holds a master's degree in software engineering from Peking University. Prior to entering academia, she worked at IBM, where she consulted for major customers on issues related to technology transfer.
