MBA/MD Curriculum

The Freeman School offers a five-year program for Tulane University School of Medicine students to earn both an MD and an MBA concurrently, as well as two options for completing an MBA independent of medical school. MBA/MD Degree Requirements

Five-Year MBA/MD

Current Tulane School of Medicine students can apply in the fall of their third year to pursue a five-year MBA/MD program. The program requires 50 hours of courses from Freeman's MBA curriculum. The fourth year is dedicated to Freeman's MBA courses, while students spend the fall of the fifth year in the medical school and the spring of the fifth year in the business school.

Options for Practicing MDs

The Freeman School offers several options to practicing physicians for completing the MBA: the three-year Professional MBA, with courses offered on weekday evenings, or the 17-month Executive MBA, with courses held on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) twice monthly.
