Biography

Yatish Hegde is a Lecturer in A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Yatish teaches Modeling and Analytics, Applied Machine Learning and Business Analytics Projects classes for the Masters in Business Analytics (MANA) program. He has also taught Business Analytics for the Executive MBA and for undergraduate programs. Yatish has a wealth of experience leading the system development for data analytics applications and has expertise in using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques in systems development.

Before joining Tulane, Yatish has spent 12 years developing software, including 9 years as a research software engineer, leading the system development for grant funded research projects in the area of machine learning, natural language processing, computational social science and information systems. He has played a leading role in system development for multiple research projects with combined awards of over $3 Million. He was also an adjunct professor in Data Science.

Application Development

Yatish likes developing interesting software applications, proof of concepts (PoCs) and prototypes

Chess

Yatish was a professional chess player during his school days. He continues to enjoy playing chess, poker and other strategy games now. Yatish is also serving as the faculty advisor for Tulane Chess Club.

Financial Markets

Yatish follows financial markets very closely. Yatish spends time researching about interesting stocks, options, emerging markets and trends in the financial market.
