Biography
Yatish Hegde is a Lecturer in Management Science at the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where he teaches Business Analytics and related courses across the Master of Business Analytics & AI, MBA, Executive MBA and Business Analytics and AI certificate programs.
He began his career as a Software Engineer in the industry before moving into academic research as a Research Software Engineer. In that role, he contributed to analytics applications, systems development, grant-funded research projects, and advanced work in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP).
Since joining Tulane in 2020, Yatish has focused on teaching students how to solve real-world business problems using analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques. As an early adopter of AI in business education, he brings a distinctive mix of industry experience, research expertise, and practical application to his teaching.
Yatish is currently designing two new courses for the upcoming academic year focused on AI: “AI for Business” for undergraduate students (Business Analytics and AI Certificate) and “Applied AI in Finance” for Executive MBA students.
