The BMSI Experience

The Freeman faculty designed the BMSI program for non-business majors with a curriculum to expand their critical thinking skills and prepare them to address business issues and problems. In two five-week sessions, students will learn the language of business and how to communicate effectively in the workplace. On-campus housing is available, so attending daily classes couldn't be more convenient.

BSM Careers

Career Planning

The BMSI strives to create awareness of how business intersects with a career in any field. During the course, students will complete a Career Assessment to better understand their skills, interests and motivators.

Life-Long Benefits

While earning their minor in business, students will learn skills that will help them develop and advance throughout their careers, including how to research industries and employers, use social media and networking to build long-term connections and present themselves in an interview. In each class session, guest speakers from a variety of backgrounds will share their own career stories including how their undergraduate preparation in sciences and liberal arts led into their careers in business.
