Carmen Weigelt is Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Prior to joining the faculty at the Freeman School, Dr. Weigelt was an assistant professor at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University. Dr. Weigelt obtained her Ph.D. in strategy from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business in 2003. Her dissertation research was funded by the National Science Foundation and the Financial Services Exchange.

Her research interests focus on innovation, outsourcing, firm capabilities, and acquisition performance. In particular, she studies the role of outsourcing in enabling firms to adopt new technologies, and the impact of outsourcing on subsequent firm performance outcomes and firm competencies. Another line of her research focuses on measurement issues in strategy research related to acquisition performance. Her papers were finalists for the McKinsey/Strategic Management Society Best Paper Award in 2001 and 2006. Ashley Francis joins the Stewart Center for Professional and Executive Education as Assistant Dean, bringing her extensive experience in online learning and program development to a new role overseeing all aspects of the Stewart Center’s programs: the Executive MBA, Professional MBA, Online MBA, and executive certificate programs. Ashley served as Director of Online Learning at the Freeman School since 2020. In that role, she helped launch the Freeman School’s first fully online MBA program in fall 2023. Prior to joining Tulane, Ashley spent almost a decade at Loyola University New Orleans as an educator and administrator, most recently as senior director of Online Education & Strategic Partnerships. While on faculty, she was a visiting Assistant Professor for Marketing and Management. In 2013, she earned the College of Business Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching. She also served as MBA Director. Ashley earned a BA from Loyola University and an MBA from the Freeman School of Business.

Sarah Havá Valley is an Assistant Director for the Online Learning program at Tulane's Freeman School of Business. During her 20 years at Tulane she has utilized skills in audio visual support, technology research and training, as well as video production. She has received MCA-I, Communicator, and Telly awards for her work in video at the Freeman school. In her current role, she supports faculty throughout the online course development lifecycle including learning management system administration, educational technology integration, video production, and student engagement initiatives.  Sarah leverages technology to enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Production with a minor in Computer Science from Loyola University and a Graduate Certificate in Learner Experience Design from Tulane University.

Danielle Martin joined the Freeman School as Senior Program Manager for Stewart Center CBD in 2019. She assists in all phases of development, implementation and strategic planning for academic programs and related initiatives, including marketing and admissions for the executive degree programs. Danielle brings a diverse set of skills to support recruiting, admissions and on-boarding of executive students. Prior to joining Tulane, Danielle worked for several regional economic development organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University.

Michael Owens joined the Freeman School as Assistant Director of the Professional MBA program. He assists in all phases of development, implementation and strategic planning for academic programs and related initiatives.  Michael brings a diverse set of skills to support recruiting, program development, admissions, and onboarding of professional MBA students.  Prior to joining the Freeman School Michael worked at the Tulane School of Social Work.  He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Tulane University.

Nick Reasons serves as the Operations Manager for the Stewart Center for Professional and Executive Education at Tulane University's A. B. Freeman School of Business. He supports the operational, logistical, and administrative needs of the Stewart Center's programs. Before joining Tulane, Nick spent more than 15 years in the film and television industry, where he developed expertise in operations, logistics, and project management that he now brings to higher education.
