What is the program format?

Are scholarships available?
All applicants across all programs are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships as part of the admissions review, no separate application required. Awards vary based on the strength of your application and are available to both domestic and international students. Once enrolled, students may also pursue paid teaching assistantships or other on-campus employment opportunities, though these roles are competitive and not guaranteed.

Are there career outcomes and employment reports available?
Yes. Freeman publishes annual employment reports that include job placement rates, salary data, and hiring companies for recent graduates across all programs. View the latest and historical employment reports.
Application
What transcripts are required?
You should upload unofficial transcripts from all colleges or universities attended. Even if transfer credits appear on your degree-granting transcript, we still require documentation from each institution.
What application documents are required?
Please refer to the admissions requirements page for each graduate program to learn more about each program's application requirements.
All programs require:
- Resume
- Essay
- One letter of recommendation
- Unofficial transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
Optional Components:
- Test scores (if submitting GMAT/GRE or English proficiency exams)
- Personal statement
Additional Documents for International Students:
- Applicants with degrees from institutions outside the United States must submit a Document-by-Document transcript evaluation with U.S. GPA equivalency from one of Tulane's preferred evaluation services.
- Applications cannot be reviewed without the transcript evaluation.
Official documents are not required for the admissions review but will be required if you are admitted and enroll.

Are test scores required?
GMAT or GRE scores are optional. However, submitting a score may strengthen your application and can enhance scholarship consideration. There are no minimum score requirements, and all applications are reviewed holistically.

How are decisions communicated?
You will receive your admissions decision via the application portal, along with an email notification. Most decisions are released within 1–2 weeks after your application is complete.

Is housing available?
Yes. Tulane offers graduate housing on the downtown campus. However, many students enjoy living around the uptown campus as it is home to the Freeman School of Business and is located in a residential area. Off-campus housing resources are available online.
International Students
What is required for I-20 processing?
To process your I-20, you will need to provide:
- Copy of your passport
- Financial documentation (bank statement)
- Affidavit of support
These documents must be submitted before you can accept your offer of admission.
Are transcript evaluations required?
Applicants with degrees from institutions outside the United States must submit a Document-by-Document transcript evaluation with U.S. GPA equivalency from one of Tulane's preferred evaluation services.

Is English proficiency required?
If you completed at least one year of university study in an English-speaking country where instruction was in English, you may qualify for a waiver. Otherwise, you will need to submit a TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent exam.
