Changing Business Around the Globe

Since its creation more than three decades ago, the Goldring Institute for International Business continues address global issues facing modern business. Housed with the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, our experts tackle global issues to make business better—and work better.

Academic Programs

Explore cultural nuances within business and learn more about various global economies by pursuing one of Tulane’s seven international business programs.

With international partners in both Asia-Pacific and Latin America, the Goldring Institute for International Business offers the following academic programs:

  • International Executive MBA, which is one of our dual degree academic programs for Latin American executives. Tulane partners with the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile; Centrum PUCP Business School in Lima, Peru; and Icesi University in Cali, Colombia, to offer this MBA track. 
  • International Master of Management, which is a dual business and management degree for aspiring business professionals. The Freeman School of Business partners with Icesi University in Cali, Colombia, and the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, City, Guatemala, to offer this program. 
  • Master of Finance, which provides international business students with advanced training in accounting, economics, econometrics and finance. This degree option is a partnership between Freeman School of Business and the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, Guatemala. 
  • Master of Finance, a joint business and finance degree offered in coordination with the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Students take courses in New Orleans and in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, China. 
  • Master of Global Management, which is also a global strategy degree offered in partnership with Xiamen University in China. 
  • Master of Management in Energy, which is a business program that provides students with expertise in energy finance and trading. This degree is for students enrolled at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in China.

Research Programs

At the Goldring Institute for International Business, we’re also leading the way in researching some of the most pressing global issues facing businesses of all sizes. Faculty from around our campus—including in the Freeman School of Business—are pursuing research programs in the following:

  • Application of optimization, simulation and machine learning algorithms to practical analytics problems in public sector organizations, healthcare and finance.
  • Colombian professional truck drivers’ safety performance.
  • Corporate venture capital, disclosure and financial reporting.
  • Labor unions and income smoothing.
  • Organized labor and inventory stockpiling.
