At Tulane, our Master of Management in Energy (MME) provides you with the comprehensive skills to work in both the traditional and renewable energy industries. Our MME degree — which is strategically designed around the business of energy — will provide you with marketable and technical expertise in everything from structure and valuation to financial modeling and risk management.

No matter your interests — whether it be oil and gas, solar or wind energy — you’ll have a greater understanding of the complex energy systems in place and be ready to fast-track your career in this ever-growing field.

Complete an MME in 10 to 17 Months

Six Specializations

Master of Management in Energy students have the option to specialize in areas including analytics, electric power, renewable energy or trading.


STEM Designated

Extend your training – as an international students – by up to 24 months when you graduate from our Master of Management in Energy and work in your field of study.

MME Program Highlights

Because our Master of Management in Energy is housed within Tulane’s Freeman School of Business, you’ll gain a foundation in business and finance — as well as expertise in energy consumption, production and transmission. You’ll be prepared to apply what you’ve learned and hit the ground running from day one in the energy industry.

Trading Room

Master of Management in Energy students experience actual market conditions right in the classroom by doing simulations in our $3 million trading room.

Energy Experts

Our MME faculty are experienced in all sectors of the energy industry. They’re researching in areas such as the impact of unconventional shale oil and gas development and actively working to help companies achieve renewable energy goals.

Financial Support

Cover up to half of your tuition and fees with a Tulane fellowship. All admitted students are considered for fellowships, which can cover up to 50 percent of tuition.
